Why Buhari, Osinbajo and Tinubu were absent from Akeredolu’s rally

 APC in Ondo State says President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo, were unavoidably absent at its governorship rally due to pressing national matters they had to attend to.

The governorship rally in the state kicked off yesterday at the Democracy Park in Akure, the state capital at about 11am but the President, his Vice and some top-shots of the party were noticeably absent from the event.

Abayomi Adesanya who is the state Publicity Secretary of the party, while explaining the absence of the President, however, announced that Buhari would be in the State for the grand finale of the campaign, scheduled for November 19.

Abayomi said, “The President and the Vice President had an emergency state matter they had to attend to and so could not turn up.”

Also absent at the event was a National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, but his media team while explaining, said the former Lagos State Governor was currently not in the country.
