<div class="image-container" itemprop="image"> <img alt="Osagie-Ize-Iyamu-1" class="attachment-full size-full wp-post-image" height="425" src="http://4a7jjc25uykf24u8sd3k8m5n.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Osagie-Ize-Iyamu-1.jpg" width="640" /> </div> Osagie Ize-Iyamu, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Edo state governorship election, says God has told him to recover his “stolen” mandate.<br /> Addressing some protesters in Benin, capital of the state, on Friday, Ize-Iyamu alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) robbed him of victory.<br /> He said the alleged robbery of the Edo people’s mandate would not stand, adding that he had been seeking God’s intervention in the past few days.<br /> Ize-Iyamu said while his supporters had refused to be violent, those who were given the victory by INEC were ashamed of celebrating.<br /> Dan Orbih, chairman of the PDP in Edo, said the party was putting everything in place to defend democracy.<br /> Appealing to the protesters to eschew violence, Orbih maintained that the will of the people must prevail.<br /> Ize-Iyamu’s statement comes barely 24 hours after Godwin Obaseki of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who won the election said he was dedicating his victory to God.

<div class="image-container" itemprop="image"> <img alt="Wike" class="attachment-full size-full wp-post-image" height="450" src="http://4a7jjc25uykf24u8sd3k8m5n.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Wike.jpg" width="690" /> </div> There was confusion in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, in the early hours of Saturday as operatives of the Department of State Services and the police besieged the house of a Federal High Court judge.<br /> It was gathered that the security operatives had stormed the residence to arrest the judge.<br /> It was gathered that the state governor, Nyesom Wike, who rushed to the scene, was harassed by the operatives.<br /> The Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu, who said the incident happened in the wee hours of Saturday, said Wike was pushed around by the DSS and policemen<br /> Nwakaudu said, “The illegal failed abduction was led by Mr. Tosin Ajayi, Rivers State Director of the Department of State Services and Rivers State Police Commissioner, Mr. Francis Odesanya.”<br /> “The operatives of DSS reportedly rough-handled Governor Wike, pushing him around and injuring his hand. A few of the operatives cocked their rifles and threatened to shoot the Governor.<br /> “They were irked by Governor Wike’s arrival at the scene shortly after the failed abduction process began. It was learnt that Governor Wike received security information on the illegal moves, minutes after the operation started.<br /> “The security operatives blocked the entrance of the residence of the Federal High Court judge at about 1am on Saturday morning, claiming that they were acting on orders from above. As they dragged Governor Wike, they insisted that they must be allowed to leave with the judge.”

These operations were based on allegations of corruptions and other acts of professional misconduct by a few of the suspected Judges. The Service action is in line with its core mandate, as we have been monitoring the expensive and luxurious lifestyle of some of the Judges as well as complaints from the concerned public over judgment obtained fraudulently and on the basis amounts of money paid.<br /> The judges involved were invited, upon which due diligence was exhibited and their premises searched. The searches have uncovered huge raw cash of various denominations, local and foreign currencies, with real estate worth several millions of Naira and documents affirming unholy acts by these Judges. Meanwhile, some of them have made useful statements while a few have declined even with the glaring evidences that were found against them in terms of material cash, documents and property recovered pointing to their compromise.<br /> In one of the States where the Service operations were conducted, credible intelligence revealed that the Judge had Two Million United States Dollars ($2,000,000 USD) stashed in his house. When he was approached for due search to be conducted, he in concert with the State Governor, mobilized thugs against the Service team. The team restrained itself in the face of unbridled provocative activities by those brought in by the Governor. Unfortunately, the Judge and Governor also engaged the tacit support of a sister security agency.<br /> The Service surveillance team noticed that upon frustrating the operation, the Judge with the active support of the Governor craftily moved the money to an unknown location which the Service is currently making effort to unravel.<br /> Meanwhile, large amount including foreign/local currencies have been recovered. Summaries of these include:<br /> SUMMARY OF RECOVERED MONEY<br /> 1. NAIRA – N93,558,000.00<br /> 2. DOLLARS – $530,087<br /> 3. POUNDS – £25,970<br /> 4. EURO – €5,680<br /> Other foreign currencies were also recovered. This were recovered from just three (3) of the judges.<br /> These in addition to other banking documents, including real estate documents have been recovered. Meanwhile preparations are ongoing to arraign them in a competent court of jurisdiction in line with the laws of the nation.<br /> The Service would want to clearly state that it has never invited Justice Walter NKANU ONNOGHEN for investigation, neither is he being investigated by this Service. In addition the Service would like to put it on record, that it has tremendous respect for the Judiciary and would not do anything to undermine it or its activities. Why You Must Stop Shaving Pubic Hair

Dr Arikawe Adeolu, an Abuja-based medical expert, advised that it is safer to trim the hair rather than shaving it off completely. He said that complete shaving of the hair could cause infection.<br /> Adeolu told our correspondent on Tuesday that shaving or waxing of the hair around the pubic could cause cracks and expose the skin to bacterial infection.<br /> He added that the pubic hair served a major purpose of providing some level of cushioning for the individual, especially during sexual activity, preventing the skin from rubbing against another and causing abrasion.<br /> He explained that if the skin around the pubic region was completely shaved and the individual’s skin came into contact with another person’s skin, friction would be increased due to the skin to skin contact.<br /> He advised that individuals who were worried about the lack of hygiene due to untended pubic hair should consider trimming rather than complete shaving or waxing of the hair.<br /> “When you completely shave the pubic hair, it re-grows in a slanted fashion with the tip sometimes growing into the pubic skin, which can crack open the skin.<br /> “It is usually a small crack which cannot be seen with the Unclad eyes but due to this crack and loss of integrity of the skin at that level, there is increased risk of getting infection.<br /> “Complete shaving can also cause boil to develop in that region. This is because when you shave, you cause some level of abrasion in the area which opens up the skin.<br /> “These small openings cannot be seen with the eye but they are big enough for the micro organisms to get into the body.<br /> “Also, because the pubic area is always moist, this serves as breeding ground for organisms like bacteria.”<br /> Adeolu said that trimming the pubic hair would also help to reduce the risk of contacting Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI), which could also be contacted when fluid from an infected partner’s Instruments came into contact with the pubic area.<br /> According to him, if the partner is already infected, the virus in the Fluid or body fluid can easily penetrate the skin of the other to infect the individual.<br /> He said that this infection was mostly caused by a virus known as ‘Molluscum contagiosum’, adding that there had been significant increase in incidences of such infection in hospitals.<br /> “It is a viral infection that is also categorised as an STI. It affects the skin and does not need treatment; usually after a couple of weeks or months, the symptoms go away by themselves.<br /> “You also have an increased risk of contacting other STIs such as HIV, Hepatitis, genital warts by complete shaving of the pubic hair,’’ Adeolu said.

That is what they claim. So, we didn’t have any option than to result to writing to government, which we did and we are still awaiting response from them and the match is in five days.”<br /> The NFF boss said a chartered flight arrangements had been made with Arik Airline, which has assigned a technical crew. He revealed that the federation was able to secure accommodation in Protea Hotel, which is 10 minutes away from the stadium, but it had not been able to pay for it.<br /> “We have been able to secure about 60 to 70 rooms but we need to make some payments so that they (the hotel) will keep the rooms because everybody from Zambia wants to come and watch that game and that is our predicament.<br /> “Beyond that, we are also looking at the next game against Algeria, which is coming up on November 9 in Uyo (Akwa Ibom State). The Algerian national team has informed me that they are coming with two to three private jets that will be bringing their team.<br /> “As it is, everybody is taking this championship or qualifiers very, very serious but, like I said, the good news about us is that we have a very good team and we have a strong technical crew.”

Police and the parents of the girl should have mercy and consider what happened as an act of the devil.<br /> “I am the Personal Assistant to my pastor; we were organising our crusade, going out to paste crusade posters when my pastor called me to say he forgot something at home.<br /> “He directed me to go to his house and bring some money. When I got there, I saw children playing and grabbed one of them. That was what happened.<br /> “It is purely the handiwork of the devil. I don’t know what happened; all I know is that I am not happy with what is happening to me. I am calling on the parents and the police to have mercy on me. I am promising the government and the parents that if they allow me to go free, I will never misbehave again.”<br /> Meanwhile, Omoni said police had placed zero tolerance on rape and other criminalities in the state.
