Zlatan Ibrahimovic took to the same social network to announce his move to Manchester United for the coming season.
The 34-year-old’s impending switch to join Jose Mourinho, the new United boss, has been one of the worst kept secrets in football history.
In typically unorthodox fashion, Ibrahimovic chose to confirm the move on his Instagram and Twitter page on Thursday — a day earlier than expected.
United are taken aback by Zlatan’s bombshell, as he has not signed any paperwork or passed medical tests, but they are very happy with the player’s announcement, Sportsmail is reporting.
“Time to let the world know, my next destination is Manchester United,” he wrote, along with the club’s Red Devil crest.

The former Sweden skipper will become Mourinho’s second signing and is expected to pen a one-year deal, with the option for a further 12 months.
A verbal agreement has been reached between both parties, with no other clubs involved, and the deal is expected to be signed this weekend.
Ibrahimovic is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain after June 30, and has long been expected to sign at Old Trafford.
Ibrahimovic will have his medical at Carrington on Friday ahead of signing up with the Red Devils.
