According to some reports, the leader of Boko Haram, the jihadist group terrorizing Nigeria’s northeastern region finally surrenders.
Boko Haram made their surrender through a video which shows their leader, Abubakar Shekau surrendering and advising followers to follow suit.
The report suggest that Boko Haram has finally surrendered to the superior power of the Nigerian troops . A video released on Wednesday, March 23 by the Leadership, shows the kingpin, Abubakar Shekau who was rumoured to have been killed, advising his followers to “surrender to save themselves”. Shekau in the video below appeared to have surrendered to constant bombardments by the Nigerian army troops.
In the course of war against Boko Haram, the Chief of Army Staff Visits Columbian Army Headquarters in an effort to find a permanent solution to the menace of the insurgents wrecking havoc in the north-eastern part of the country. As it is well known that Colombian army is highly astute in fighting terrorism, being a country that has been battling insurgency over the past 50 years hence, the need to draw from their wealth of knowledge.
Other efforts made by the Nigerian army to eradication the insurgents include deploying Combat Motorbike Battalion, others.
